What is the Linen Project?
The Linen Project is a project focusing on the stories of people that used to work in Hillmount Linen Factory. The project aims to keep the memory of Hillmount alive not only through peoples stories but through the repurposing of the original materials through workshops. This project has been proudly funded by Lottery Heritage Fund.
Key Aspects of the Project
01
RESCUED Workshop
The RESCUED workshop teaches local residents at any level how to transform dead stock fabric from Frazer Haughton Mill into beautiful useful products like tote bags, aprons and cushion covers. These products will then be branded and sold in The Hub bring in funds to help the community.
Lets rescue our local heritage, one stitch at a time!
